I love to write about everything and anything that excites me or gets me all het up. If you want to know what its really like to run a national company whilst raising three children then read on......
A bit about me.
I am a multi award winning women's health specialist with over 14 years experience of the fitness industry. After having my first son back in 2009 I experienced debilitating Postnatal Depression and anxiety which led me to seek an alternative treatment. I found that my background in fitness was the answer and after an incredibly difficult year using exercise to treat my own PND I decided to find a way to offer the same treatment to other mothers. I now have three young children and have extended the OneFitMama programme across the country helping on average 9000 mothers per year with a team of 25 instructors. My passion is encouraging women to exercise for health and not for weight loss as well as encouraging them to enjoy exercise with their children. Once they fall in love with exercise they always start to fall in love with their bodies which is the most rewarding part of what we do, helping mothers love themselves. I am also a passionate campaigner for better postnatal care for women including more support for women with PND. I founded the OneFitMama Charitable trust as a way to raise funds for counselling and alternative services for women attending OneFitMama classes who are struggling. I am often invited to speak at events about my PND journey and how I found the strength to turn such a horrible illness into a way to help others.
Having spent the last 8 years not only supporting mothers out in the field but experiencing the difficulties of motherhood first hand I am not just another expert that talks a good game, I am playing it everyday!'
