OneFitMama Mental Health Trust
The OneFitMama Trust was established in 2016 to support mums with their mental health in the uk. This is not restricted to mums that are existing OneFitMama members but any mothers across the UK who are being failed by their health care provider.
Maternal mental health issues affect 1 in 5 women according recent data and symptoms and severity can vary from mum to mum. Support for these women is very limited and there is often long waiting lists to access what little services are available. We aim to be able to support these mum's quickly, effectively and lovingly
We run the OneFitMama maternal Mental Health scheme to give women access to all the OneFitMama programmes for free. Maternal mental health can affect women in many different ways and whether it is isolation or pelvic rehabilitation they need to help their recovery we have the best systems in place to support them.
As we receive no funding for this scheme all money is raised by our passionate and dedicated instructor team who work tirelessly all year to not only implement the scheme but also arrange events all year to ensure we can continue to fund it.
Move for Mental Health
Postnatal depression affects 1 in 3 mothers with an estimated 35000 women suffering in silence in the UK alone each year, we want to show those women that they are not alone and we also want to help to improve mental health for mums along the way. This is where Move for Mental Health comes in, a series of physical challenges that you can do to raise awareness, raise funds and improve your own mental health along the way.
Mum's Overcoming Mountains
Mum's Overcoming Mountain is an annual event where we tackle some of the UKs highest peaks. Each year we tackle a different mountian from Snowdon to Scafell and Ben Nevis to Mam Tor we overcome mountains figuratively and literally. The walk is guided by an experienced leader to keep us all safe and is always an incredible day where you can meet new people and see old friends. You don't need to be super-fit to join the walk, you don't need the latest walking boots you just need a sense of humour, a lot of love and a desire to support mum's in the UK. You will get lots of advice and support in the run up to the event in our Facebook Group where you can also get to know who else is on the trek with you. The hike has the most wonderful atmosphere and whether you are doing it for yourself, a friend or a family member you will definitely come back down feeling like you've conquered something!
OneFit5K Virtual Run Challenges
The OneFit5K virtual challenges are a great way to set a personal goal without the pressure and help to raise money for women in the UK struggling with their mental health. You can walk, run, jog, skip or buggypush your way to 5K and once you've hit your target you will receive a limited edition, themed OneFit5K medal. Each season we release a new medal design so you can keep on challenging yourself and collecting pretty medals for your efforts. All profits raised go to the OneFitMama trust where we help women to take control of their mental health and help them to build a support network and practices that will keep them healthy and happy long after they leave us.

If you would like to access our free postnatal depression exercise scheme you must ask your doctor or midwife to refer you. It is really easy to do, all they need is to complete the form below and return it to your local OneFitMama instructor and we will do the rest.
